I started as the new kid on someone else’s robotics team, then helped stand up a community team of much younger students. In the same years I learned Songjiang shadow play from Tang Jiachang, and later wrote down what I had been doing with kids as a science course public schools could teach without me in the room. Most of it took longer than it should have. A lot of it only worked the second way.
